Click the R button so it is highlighted red. This will "arm" the track to record and allow you to hear the signal coming in from the M-Track. In the "channel Strip" on the left side of your screen, you should see the incoming audio displayed on your meters. The number above this meter is the "peak" level. You never want this to get to zero, as this will indicate your input is too loud and distortion or "digital clipping" will occur. This cannot be undone later. For "transient" material drums, percussion , you will want this peak level to read around -6 at the highest.

For less percussive or "smoother" sources like vocals, bass, strings, have them peak around These numbers are not required but indicate a good habit to achieving consistent sound quality and less obstacles when it comes time to mix your song. At the bottom of your screen, in the "transport" section, click the "record" button.
Nick D Employee March 23, Hey Yordi, Thanks for posting! Where have you looked for the device? Does it appear as an Output device udner Sound in System Preferences? If the M-Track is not registered by your computer we will need to test it with another computer to see if this is related to the M-Track hardware itself.
If you test the device with a computer running Windows it will need a driver so be sure to install it before connecting.
You can download the driver here: Not a problem Acknowledged In progress Solved. How does this make you feel? Add Image.

Not appearing in the list of USB devices at all. It was working until today I noticed a lot of background hiss. I stopped recording for a moment then a few seconds later it just stopped completely. I get the 48v light but no actual reading from the mic now and the Mac doesn't recognise the device at all. I'm having this issue too with my Windows 7 and Windows My device is broken! If the above steps do NOT resolve your issue Support Knowledge Base.
